RUN INTO WINTER
On November 28, 2021, everyone had the opportunity to take part in the free orienteering event “Run into Winter”.Within two hours, each team had to try to find and scan as many control points as possible using a special app, using only a map produced by the organizers for navigation. For each control point found, the team receives the corresponding points. The farther the control point is from the start location or the harder it is to find, the higher its possible value. It is also important to mention the importance of punctuality – for each minute late at the finish, points are deducted. That is exactly why orienteering is such an interesting and relevant sport. It is suitable for athletes of any level of professionalism and physical fitness!
In total, a little more than 100 participants took part in the competition, forming 36 teams. Among the participants you could spot both orienteers, families with children, youth groups and, of course, also our four-legged friends!
At the end of the event, the 3 best teams in each group were awarded, as well as 3 raffle winners.
